It makes the threads stronger, reduces the lint from the fiber, and makes it absorb dyes better. The result will be a cotton yarn with brighter colors, that holds its shape and colors better over time and that has a shiny look to it. 

Friends Cotton 8/4 Mercerized is a super fine yarn made out of 4 threads spun together. The whole range comes with our “easy start” pull-out tab, making it much handier to find the beginning of your skein.
