Woody Tweed embodies the timeless elegance of a classic tweed yarn and it is entirely made out of recycled fibers: wool and viscose.

The color choice includes more neutral shades like beiges, grays, and browns, allowing the speckles to be at the center of attention, as well as brighter hues like pink, greens, and blues making the contrast between colors even more unexpected.

Woody Tweed’s flecks are skillfully woven into the yarn making it a pleasure to work with. You can use 3,5 mm (US 4) knitting needles or a 4,5 mm (US 7) crochet hook to start experimenting with this yarn.

Need inspiration for your next project? Cardigans, pullovers, vests, sweaters, etc. will all be a great idea. This yarn is suitable for projects with color work. The fibers cling to each other making it the perfect yarn for intarsia, fair-isle projects, etc. Feel free to think outside the box as well and try doubling the thread for a more noticeable tweed effect.

Woody Tweed is completely made out of recycled materials and it is characterized by shorter fibers. Due to this, the yarn can be easily ripped when pulled and when working very tightly. Not to worry though, the yarn will get stronger once knitted/crocheted up.

Time to get stylish with Woody Tweed

The yarn is OEKO-TEX® certified (no. 2276-367). Find more information about the certification at the https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/

Love the yarn. Wearing it daily to see if it it peels for the past 2 weeks. No significant Perl so far. Will need to get more volors

Cassandra

I enjoyed the yarn. Yes, it does look like a recycled yarn and it follows the typical flaws of a roving style (aka thickness discrepancy.) I made a sleeveless turtleneck out of it and am looking forward to how it wears. If it wears well, it may do well for a skirt, as it might be light enough not to sag. It reminds me of Cascade Yarns' Melilla, which I have in my stash still, but not as soft.

Talia

I like this yarn and color palette. It literally has a "woodsy" feel to it - not as soft to the touch, but it's not itchy either. It's very delicate, almost like roving yarn. If you pull a little too hard, the yarn will separate. I would try other colors.

Colors are good but breaks easily.
I’m knitting a fairisle sweater and hoping it won't be damaged.

Danielle

I ordered 2 different colors of the yarn. Love the color and the yarn is very soft. Only have one complaint. The yarn breaks easily, Will not be ordering it again.
