Linen is a very classic and sustainable, natural material spun from the flax plant. Flax is naturally resistant to diseases, and, therefore, almost doesn’t need pesticides or herbicides while they grow. The flax plant produces a large amount of usable material per square meter and the earth does not need to be irrigated.

To produce Studio Linen, leftover linen from industrial use is chosen, treated and spun together with 15% premium linen, and the end result is this beautiful, recycled yarn. It feels dry in your hand, falls beautifully and has a very lightly shiny surface. This yarn only gets more beautiful with age and use. A very beautiful yarn for the modern knitter.

Alishia

Very stiff tightly wound recycled linen. There are occasional little pieces of debris but only working with a small hook allowed me to find them. It’s 6 strands of three twisted strings. The skeins are small needing 3 to make a pouch. With it being tightly wound it tends to twist and get tangled. I didn’t have a plan when I bought it and am glad as I would have never guessed it’s stiffness and would have been disappointed however when I decided to make an origami rectangle pouch this ended up being the perfect fiber.

Revadean

This linen is the softest I have ever worked with. Linen is a long wearing fiber which only softens with wear and washing. This is a beautiful fiber; it gives a good stitch definition as well as allows your body to breathe. Making a small crossbody bag.

James

This beautiful linen yarn stitches up amazingly, the stitch definition is absolutely gorgeous! I did need two hanks to complete my doily but the end result was undeniably fabulous.

Debra

This yarn is amazing I love working with it! I need to buy more goodies from Hobbii to earn more points to get more of this yarn. Haha

Skye

I love this linen yarn, it's been wonderful to work with for small summer wearables, sad to see it discontinued
