Horizon offers beautiful, clear colors in the loveliest stripes. It is a super soft and rich yarn, which comes in large, delightful skeins of 200g. You will get really far with just one skein, which contains a total of 550 meters of beautiful stripes.

Horizon is a premium acrylic, so it is spun from extra good quality. This means that, amongst other things, the yarn is processed in several steps, that are similar to the processing of wool. The acrylic is combed, which makes it richer and extra soft. Furthermore, Horizon has been through a Hi-Bulk process, where the yarn is steamed under production and thus pulls together a little. This results in a more comfortable and softer fill.

Horizon can be used for many exciting projects. It is OEKO-TEX labeled, can be machine washed and does not scratch! It is wonderful to use for clothing such as sweaters, scarves, hats, etc. But can also be used for interiors such as a soft, chunky blanket. It is also a great alternative for those that are allergic to wool.

The yarn is spun from a so-called anti-pilling acrylic. This type of fiber is constructed in a special way that makes the fibers less likely to pill, like acrylic usually does. Anti-pilling is neither a treatment or process added to the yarn; the difference is in the construction of the special fiber material that the yarn is spun from.

The yarn is OEKO-TEX® certified (no. 2076-311). Find more information about the certification on the https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/.

Enjoy!

Horizon is colored in hanks, because it gives the loveliest color-shifts and the yarn maintains its thickness. During this coloring process, this can mean that where the yarn’s threads meet, the threads can give off a little color to one another. It is important to emphasize that this happens before the colors are fixed and thus will not run off onto the finished yarn. It can, however, reveal itself as a few extra colored spots within the yarn.

What amazing yarn! This was my first time buying from Hobbii. When the Horizon yarn went on sale last year, I was going over all the colors that were left. I very seldom buy anything for myself. My late husband (he was so amazing and loved watching me crochet and create beautiful afghans, but most of all, he loved to help me pick the colors out for not only the afghans, but the borders as well). When the yarn came, it was so soft and so easy to work with (no splitting). I was able to make one afghan on our trip from VA to Myrtle Beach SC. I finished the afghan on the Saturday that we got back (we were gone for 1 week), and I lost him in his sleep the very next day. I would recommend this yarn to anyone that I know that does any kind of craft using yarn, because this yarn is amazing to work with, and it has very special memories behind me not only trying it for the first time, but it has one of the last good memories with my husband!

I had no idea what I expected with this yarn- I ordered some in the colors Ocean, Desert, and Island. My only regret is that I should've bought more than one skein of each! They were so bright, so vivid, and so very soft to the touch! It's weight was even throughout and I had no issues with knots. One or two spots had some colors bleed into another, but this was very minor. It also looks pretty good crocheted in half-double crochet and double crochet, and was very easy to work with even when I changed gauges. I highly recommend this yarn for shawls, as well as projects that look good with sharp contrasting colors or different shapes. I do recommend you turn the brightness on your screen up to view the colors properly, though, as they may be brighter than they appear.

I bought this yarn to make an afghan for a baby in Texas. I probably only needed to buy 2, but I bought 5. I did get it when it was on sale. I have been very sick for 4 months, so I deserved a treat. Today I went to my knitting group for the first time in months. Everyone went crazy over the yarn. It is soooooooo soft and the colors are fabulous. I already have someone putting claims on what I have left over. I did not start working on it yet as I had to straighten the cord in my new needles. If I see yarn I like, I will not hesitate to buy. The quality, the color and the delivery are outstanding. The yarn took more time to get from New York to just north of Boston than it to from Denmark to New York. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Amazingly soft yarn that is so easy to work with. I’ve been using this yarn during summer in Australia and it’s not too hot to work with 😊 The colours are even more vibrant than the photos show!!

I bought this yarn on sale as I couldn’t justify to myself the full price and shipping, but I can’t find anything like this in the major yarn stores in Sydney. It’s definitely worth the price and I’ll be buying more.

One cake was enough for a long scarf - moss stitch done length ways and a 4.5mm hook. I’ve also used a second cake to make a length ways granny stripe scarf and it’s also quite long.

I will definitely make a blanket out of this due to how soft it feels and easy it is to crochet.

I’ve had my eye on this yarn for a while, but honestly I’m pretty cheap and was worried about potentially wasting $22 if I didn’t like it. I bought one cake during the Black Friday sale just to try it out and I am so impressed! It is soft, squishy and really smooth to work with. I honestly can’t think of any softer acrylic I’ve ever used. I bought the sunset colorway and it is just as vibrant and bright as the pictures, maybe even a bit brighter 😍. My only regret is that I didn’t try it sooner! I think it is worth the premium price, and I’m definitely going to get some more colours.
