Divina is a wonderful yarn quality where two of the worlds softest natural fibers; baby alpaca and merino wool meet in an exquisitely soft and airy yarn. The fine fibers are held together by an ultra-thin net made from durable polyamide.

The fine-meshed tube of polyamide is the foundation of the yarn. The tube is either black or white, depending on the color of the fibers. With the help of a special spinning technique, the mix of alpaca and wool is blown into the tube and creates a lovely, full volume. The construction creates a beautiful play of colors when the natural color of the tube shows delicately through and creates Divina’s beautiful, slightly mottled look.

With Divina you can achieve lots of soft volume nicely balanced with the texture. The yarn has a natural, airy structure that stays nice and yummy when you crochet or knit with it.

Divina is well-suited for both crocheting and knitting, and you can use it for a variety of projects, but we’d like to specially recommend chunky, soft accessories, sweaters, or chunky cardigans. The yarn is also so versatile that you, by varying needle/hook sizes can achieve a high level of flexibility when it comes to knitting tension. Divina is exquisite by itself but can, of course, be combined with thin lace yarns made from, e.g., alpaca or kid silk for an even more exciting play of colors.

Divina is a fantastic yarn, it's one of the softest that I've used (like.. cashmere soft. and ultra lofty) BUT. It's not for every project.

Just so no one encounters the same frustration I did, the stitch definition on this yarn is pretty non-existent so choose your patterns accordingly with this. I was attempting a textured brioche sweater and it turned out blobby so I did have to frog it. Frogging is also super difficult and mine created little nubs when I did frog it so I probably won't re-use the frogged yarn

However, it is a beautiful yarn with gorgeous colors and feel and would make amazing simple designs or colorwork, so I still rate this 5 star. I hope they keep this line of yarn because if so, it would be my go-to for worsted weight colorwork sweaters for sure

Divina is one of the first times working with alpaca and it definitely will not be the last. I'm using the Light Petrol (27) color held with Diablo and it's ben a joy to work up cables and stockinette for my cardigan. Like other reviewers, I suggest frogging very gently, as the fibers stick and tangle sometimes (but that also might be because of my mohair substitute) . A great yarn for squishy, fluffy garments using simple stitches. It feels like it would crochet up nicely as well.

I adore this yarn, it is just perfect for baby knitting. I have doubled it to crochet baby booties on size 5.00 mm hook and they are adorable! I also knitted a lovely wee vest for newborn baby size and shall be making many more. I used size 8mm knitting needles and doubled the yarn. 1 ball was sufficient for vest and a pair of newborn booties. Am off to look at the colour choices now and order some more.

Fluffy and Light Weight. Most Important is DIVINA remains NOT AT ALL itchy whilst crocheting Neck Warmers in true Plum and Magenta colours ! Downside ? Of course to be expected. Note I rated it 5 Stars in any case. Stitch definition rates "meh". Pulling out stitches/frogging...it's long fibers wrap around themselves making that somewhat annoying. Treat it gently, if you must frog.

As I took each of three types of yarn out of my order I thought each was the softest possible and then I got to this one. This yarn yarn is incredible. I knew it would be soft because I have already used alpaca but WOW. Now I have to find the perfect shawl pattern for it. I will definitely be buying this in a larger quantity the next time it goes on sale.
