I have used Mayflower Cotton 8/4 Junior to crochet kitchen towels, potholders and small drawstring bags. My finished products have a soft, silky hand and nice drape to them which is perfect for clothing or baby blankets, and the cotton feels good while working with it. This yarn is a pleasure to work with and is a high quality soft cotton. It is so much softer than the big worsted cotton brand found in US craft stores, which feels scratchy in comparison. I found that the darker, more saturated colors leave a lot of dye in the water when first washed, so I wash them separately and rinse them out several times until the water is clear, but my finished products still have bright, brilliant colors after washing.

I love the junior cotton. I have been using it for many small projects such as potholders, animals, doilies and most recently for a granny square pillow.
It used to be one of my staples. Luckily I purchased a good number when you still had interesting colours. but I'll have to look for a replacement as you seem to be phasing this one out.
I found that for some items, the Junior was better than the Rainbow cotton.

Andrea

I really like this cotton yarn. My pattern called for a sugar and cream brand but I had this instead and it worked really well. I did have a little trouble with keeping it from slipping a lot when I was trying to do certain stitches but it wasn't bad.

Tetiana

It's a good yarn, easy to work with. It is quite soft for cotton. The colors are rich and work nicely together, I have a full range of blue colors for my project. The only con is that color #1112 stains my fingers. Other blue colors are fine.

Jaime

I LOVE this yarn. I found a skein in a secondhand shop several years ago. I thought it had been discontinued as I had never seen it in the local yarn shops (I’m in the US) and then I found hobbii and I bought a bunch of colors!
