This is basically a completely classic type of sock yarn, but with a twist in the form of a thin glitter thread in gold. The yarn is composed of superwash wool, polyamide, and 2% polyester which is the gold thread that creates the beautiful glitter effect.

This was my first Hobbii order and I must say I am very pleased. This sock yarn is beautiful and not super scratchy though with the sparkle thread I was concerned it would be scratchy. Purchased to make Christmas socks for my daughter and sisters to give at Thanksgiving with a nice foot lotion as an early Christmas gift and they can wear for the Christmas season. I do have a problem. I ordered another holiday sock yarn collection thru Hobbii and its too hard to decide which to try first. For those ordering from the US, I was pleasantly surprised at the shipping time. I ordered 12/17 and delivered 12/24....faster than orders I've placed with US competitors. I will be ordering again. Oh and thank you for the free row counter!

I love this yarn so much! I received it in time to knit myself a pair of socks for Christmas, and it's such a hit that now I'm making more pairs for my family. =) I have pretty sensitive-to-wool skin (the only wool I can usually wear against my skin is baby alpaca), so the wool and the glitter I found a wee bit uncomfortable, but I just wear it with a thin pair of dress socks under it, and problem solved! It's so cute that I willingly risked it. I've been doing "fraternal twin" socks knit from the toe-up, two at once, and am getting two pair from a single skein. Love seeing the stripes appear, and they're SO festive! The socks were definitely the star of Christmas morning at the family brunch!

This yarn is so fun and nice to work with! It is my first time knitting socks and this yarn makes it so easy and fun. I use the center pull so it’s fun to see which colors come next. I’m hoping to make at least 2 more pairs of socks before Christmas! Overall this yarn just makes me so happy! Also the sparkle isn’t scratchy at all!
